ELTON CHATFIELD gave an inspiring statement about our club, and the decline in membership, and what we can do to remedy it.

TOM PALMERI was late, assessed $10.00, and carried the pot. TEX
WILLIAMS was the Secret Greeter, and Torn collected $5.00 each from a couple of non-sociables. ANITA WHITE won the 50/50 Pot at a breakfast meeting, and voluntarily paid $25.00. ANITA also won the weekly drawing by pulling a four ($4.00); JOYCE CHAPMAN felt like contributing $6.00 (because the meals are so good); DR. ELTON volunteered $20.00, because his granddaughter was awarded the prize of being the best basketball player in the League.

ANITA introduced SITHIK SAR, who was born in Cambodia, and escaped the Khmer Rouge with his family in April, 1975, who was able to relocate in Northern Virginia. He graduated from high school, enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served three years. After his military service, he attended George Mason University and earned a BA degree in international relations. He attended the DEA Basic Agent Academy and earned his title as a Special Agent. Mr. Sar spoke about the 9/11 disaster and the tsunami disaster in Malaysia, where 229,000 people were killed because of the tidal wave.
