South Hills Kiwanis Weekly Bulletin -- 6/10/10

The meeting was opened with MAC MC ALPIN leading the singing of"GOD BLESS AMERICA". STEVE SHERMAN led the Pledge to the Flag, and BILL MATTHEWS gave the invocation. TEX'S Thought For the Day:

JOEL BEEZY said he had talked to Jimmy Weldon, and that he might be able to get Jimmy to come to the club for a program.

COOKIE tapped about everyone in the room for $1.00, because no one could say what was on the back of the current magazine. MAC MC ALPIN paid $1.00 per year for his anniversary that is coming up on 6/15/10 - $26.00 in all. HARRY ANDERSON paid $50 for his birthday. JOYCE CHAPMAN won the prize for the day - or should have - she kicked in $100.00 for her 90th birthday. GEORGE GURNETT paid $20.00 for his wife's birthday. Everyone who did not have a voting stub was to pay $1.00.

The FINE FREE BADGE went for a puny $20.00 -Such a bargain.

Pres/ COOKIE read a couple of letters from some of the Scholarship Recipients.

LISA JOHNSON, actually a guest, told a little bitabout her company, which is a security company. I could not hear much due to some conversation in the back of the room, and I cannot hear much anyway - Ask my wife.

NOBODY NOTICES WHAT I DO UNTIL I DON'T DO IT.
