The Christmas party will be held at the Covina Center For the Performing Arts,
and will be on a Tuesday night, but the exact date has not been set just yet, and
the menu will also be selected in the near future.
Past President DON ANDREWS is recuperating at home from knee ligament
surgery, and his wife, BESSIE, is also home. Well wishes to both.
The Attendees today were JOEL BEEZY, KEN MILLER, JOHN MORDOFF,
GEORGE BISHOP, GEORGE GURNETT, TOM PALMERI, PRESIDENT COOKIE,
TEX WILLIAMS, MIKE TANAKA, CAROL SCANLAN, ANITA WHITE AND
MAC MC ALPIN, AND BILL MATTHEWS.
PREZ. COOKIE paid $5.00 for forgetting her badge; JOEL BEEZY paid $2.00 for
being late. I think MIKE TANAKA (was also late) won the drawing of $9.00.
Someone stole GEORGE BISHOP'S antique incinerator that was banned years ago.
ANITA WHITE warned everyone that interest rates were going up on credit cards.
PAST LT. GOV. BOB EBINER'S wife, PAULA, died last Thursday at the hospital.
There will be a Rosary service Monday, October 26 at 7:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart
Church in Covina with a funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 27 at 10:00 A. M.
Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights right after the Mass.
BOB and PAULA had fifteen (15) children.
Human hands have tried to save thee,
Sighs and tears were all in vain.
Happy angels came and bore thee
From this weary world of pain.
All is sad within our dwelling,
Lonely are our hearts today,
For the one we loved so dearly
Has forever passed away.
