SOUTH HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN 2/5/09

MAC MC ALPIN wanted the group to sing Vest La Guibia (or something like that), but settled on "GOD BLESS AMERICA". ANITA WHITE led the salute to the Flag, and BILL MATTHEWS gave the invocation.

We had a couple of guests, but I could not hear the name of one, and the guest speaker's first name was Dr.MARK ??

TEX'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Accomplishing a little is better than accomplishing nothing.

JOHN RADCLIFFE has had back surgery, and is in the Intercommunity Medical Center. He has lost about 40 pounds or more. He is in room 279. Visitors welcome.

JOEL BEEZY showed up late - What's new? - SLIM and almost TRIM, but looking Better, and still noisy. He read something about someone having a bad day with a Rectal thermometer
JOHN MORDOFF turned Rat Fink and blew the whistle on the guys who won something on the Super Bowl pot, which included himself ($50.00), MIKE TANAKA ($100.00); DON ANDREWS ($150.00), AND DR. ELTON CHATFIELD ($100.00). Elton claimed he tithed already at his church, but gave another time. The lucky ones coughed up 10% of their winnings. Not a had day for the pot because JOEL kicked in $5.00 for being late, and DICK BISHOP gave $10.00 for 44 years of Marriage to Silvia.

The meeting was somewhat unruly, and TEX asked Dr. MARK to use the microphone. Dr. Mark is a chiropractor and spoke on the good and bad habits of eating. One thing He said that makes a lot of sense: "Any society that does not eat a lot of meat is a lot Healthier than those societies who do.
