Mr. POSSNER said they have received a $7000.00 grant from the State, and he showed a DVD film about "Good Covina/ Bad Covina". There were also pictures of Gay's Lion Farm that was in El Monte. The lions were used in many movies and in a circus. There was also a short story of Erma Layman, who had a store in downtown Covina. She was a part-time secretary on a full time basis for many years for the city. The DVDs are entitled "California of the Past". You are welcome to contact Mr. Possner if you have any stories about Covina's history.
