FINES; JIM PARKER paid $20.00 (because he had a guilty conscience ??)
The Prez tried to fine Mac because he left ELTON'S name out of the bulletin, and MAC said he probably did it on purpose, because ELTON gets his name in there so much; so ELTON paid $7.00 after some negotiating, because he missed last week. GEORGE BISHOP paid $20.00 for IRIS' birthday; HARRY ANDERSON paid $10.00 ??? And CAROL SCANLAN'S mother had to have eleven stitches, and CAROL paid $11.00. Then the PREZ "sold" or blackmailed a whole bunch of people into paying $5.00 for the pictures. Come to think of it, I don't believe Harry paid anything. He just relinquished the Fine Free Badge, which was won by Mac after some spiritd bidding for $40.00.

DICK PAULUS of the Glendora Kiwanis Club gave a very interesting talk on U. S. MONEY and CURRENCY.. He showed some slides of the different sizes of paper currency, and pointed out that there actually was a $3.00 bill at one time. He showed slides of currency issued by banks that were authorized by various states, He showed some fractional currency that was printed and used for about 14 years. He stated that
about $369,000,000.00 was printed and used. The largest currency bill that was ever printed is the $10,000.00 bill. He also said that if coins were used instead of bills a lot of money would be saved because of reduced costs.

Dick's parting words were: Money is a lot like manure, because it is easy to spread around.
