SOUTH HILLS KIWANIS BULLETIN 6/7/07

MAC and GLORIA opened the meeting with the singing of the National Anthem. COOKIE FORD led the pledge to the flag, and JACK FIELDING gave an inspiring message about 6/6/44.

July 28, 2997 - Concert Under The Stars - JOEL BEEZY says we have already made $2000.00 without turning a tap- Sell More!!!

VJ MAC won the auction for the Fine Free Badge with a $105.00 bid, which will cover his upcoming anniversary on 6/15/07-and his trip to Hawaii. HARRY ANDERSON paid $25.00 for his birthday. ANITA WHITE paid $20.00 for 42 years of wedded bliss with the same man. TOM PALMERI offered to pay $100.00 for the past four months of fines or was that a bid on the No Fine Badge?? But he refused to pay anything for missing the Pancake Breakfast.
COOKIE FORD was awarded a "Make a Difference's Pin for her assistance at the Northview High,
BRITAIN WILLIAMS, TEX'S grandson, was a welcome guest. MC ALPIN bragged about his 21st grandchild being born this past week and he said he could name them all, including 5 great grand-children ( Not their birthdays- but the names)

ANITA WHITE brought the program "All About Us", and asked all of those present about some of their favorite things, etc. GEORGE BISHOP won or should have won the prize, because he said the person he would like to be stranded on a desert island with would be his wife, IRIS. CARL JOHNSON'S favorite sport is golf. ELTON'S favorite sport team is the DUCKS-WHO DID A GREAT JOB OF WINNING THE STANLEY CUP. BILL MATTHEWS told a romantic story of how he proposed to OLIVE 47 years ago.
