The members of SH KIWANIS mourn the passing of Past President BRUCE GODDARD.
Bruce always had a smile on his face.
Congratulations to Past President DENNIS CUNNING, who celebrates his 100th birthday
on August 8. 2009.; a reception will be held at the First Baptist Church, Covina.
The PREZ persuaded a few members to contribute to the fir-lined pot: MIKE TANAKA
gave $20.00 for Linda's birthday; TEX WILLIAMS paid $25.00 for his birthday; STEVE
SHERM,AN gave $25.00 for his anniversary.
MAC MC ALPIN won the pot, drew the ace of spades, and took home $50.00.
COOKIE FORD told about her trip to Nashville, Tennessee where she attended the
International Convention. She said it was hot and humid, but she had a good time,
and I think she brought back a few ideas regarding membership growth. The best
way is to call someone and delegate, delegate, delegate.
How many calls did you make this past week? Look at the Guests above, and call
someone whose name you do not see up there, and ask what you can do to help.
