Our PRESIDENT, JOEL, had an emergency, and could not attend the meeting today, and GLORIA FREET was also absent, so JOYCE CHAPMAN played and VJ MAC led the singing of the patriotic song, 'GOD BLESS AMERICA."
CARL JOHNSON led the Pledge to the Flag, and THE REVEREND JAMES PARKER gave an inspiring invocation.
TEX WILLIAMS' THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
A GOOD LISTENER IS A GOOD TALKER WITH A SORE THROAT.

The new It. Governor for Division will be MIKE TANAKA, and his installation dinner will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Monrovia Restaurant in Monrovia. We need a good showing from our club .
JOHN MORDOFF won the drawing of $3.00, and gave it back to the club. 29 years ago today, ELTON and MARGARET were married, and ELTON says they have been 29 wonderful years. Congratulations!!!!
Our speaker was CHARLES GUSTAFSON, who said that a baby has a secure attachment to its mother by its umbilical cord, and that a regulated parent has a regulated child, but stress can be a frequent companion of childhood. This usually happens before the age of 5. Criticism is an attack, and is the opposite of Praise, which is the most potent form of psychological vitamins. I think that is true for whatever age a person happens to be.
