Memorial Scholarship
The Kiwanis Club South Hills Covina Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to assist young
people in achieving their educational goals. Helping them strive for excellence has long been a
priority of Kiwanis. The value of these scholarships will be from $500.00 to $1000.00.
To apply for this scholarship, please submit:
This application form completed and signed
Official school transcripts (must be signed by a school official)
A brief letter of introduction (no longer than 1 page)
A letter of recommendation (from an adult other than a family member)
Additional attachments (i.e. awards, list of accomplishments)
Your letter of introduction should include your experiences, interests, and your eventual career
goals. A grade point average of 2.5 or higher is necessary. You must attend high school in the
Covina or Charter Oak school districts.
The application must be postmarked no later than
February 21, 2012.
Applications that do not meet this criteria or do not include the listed
requirements will not be considered. Students will be notified by mail and the scholarships will
be awarded in April.
